I upped my game and installed a DI system (CR Spotless) and got a hose reel for my pressure washer because I’m lazy. So now I can rinse the cars off and I’m done. The rather expensive Gtechniq coatings help make it easy: nothing sticks to the paint.

But I still foam it. I just got some new Gtechniq W4 citrus foam. It’s rather clingy.

Nice setup. I try not to do a full wash more than twice a year because I hate wasting so much water and I already use so much on the lawn and garden .

I do a two bucket rinseless or waterless wash once a week and it works perfect as my car is garaged most of the time anyway.

Been wanting to get it coated but yeah they’re expensive and stuff like that I rather get done after a profesional detail+ correction. Maybe as a b’day present to myself.

Well I’m super conscious of my water use being in southern California. Water also costs a shit ton here. But that’s why I got a pressure washer years ago. And I’ve been doing a hybrid waterless wash for years. I’ll rinse the car off to get most of the crap off, and then “dry” the car with a waterless wash. I use a more concentrated formula since it will be diluted from the water in the paint. I just got a flow metre so I know how much water is going out for the DI system, and a full wash now - two bucks, foam gun, etc, used 40 gallons. I usually do both cars at once, or I actually save the two bucks, since that’s ten gallons right there. But, the rest of my house has had low flow everything since I moved in, and I don’t water any grass, or any plants, so my water usage is in the first tier. And I’ve had neighbors bitch about their water cost and they’re paying double, sometimes triple what I pay, so I know I’m water conscious.

But, this new rinsing system only uses five gallons. So even if I rinse my cars several times a week I still will be saving water. And I'm saving a butt load of time.
